Askari

Everything, accounted for.

Askari builds the systems an operation runs on when it cannot afford to guess.

A phone, at six in the morning.

A rota starts and nobody has booked on. The person who can fix it hears about it before the client does, on the phone already in their pocket.

When the officer arrives, the check-in is a photograph. Face, badge and uniform are confirmed on the spot, and the record stays with the shift.

A wall, read from three metres.

One screen in the directors' room answers the question that gets asked all day: where is everybody right now.

Type big enough to read from the door. A post with nobody on it is the first thing you see, and the only thing drawn in brass.

A desk, with the official sources open.

A right to work is checked on GOV.UK. A licence is checked against the SIA register. Nothing is typed in by hand and nothing is taken on trust.

Each check leaves a receipt the auditor can hold, and the expiry register fills itself from work already done. When a status cannot be read, it says unknown. It never says valid.

An inbox, on a Friday.

Twice a day the operations mailbox is read and summarised, so a manager who was out all morning knows what moved. On Friday the week's hours arrive as a report, lateness kept, check calls left out.

Askari briefing Fri 16 Oct, 06:30

Operations briefing, Friday morning

  • Two posts uncovered this weekend: Harbour Court on Saturday nights and Linton Retail Park on Sunday days. Both are on the bench list.
  • The client at Meridian asked for Tuesday's incident report. It went out at 14:02 on Thursday.
  • Three licences expire within thirty days. Two renewals are already lodged.

Built the way a good record is kept.

  • Checked at the source.

GOV.UK, the SIA register and the client's own portal are the evidence. Our software reads them, it does not retype them.

  • Honest when unsure.

A check that could not complete says so. Green is never shown until it has been earned.

  • Paper an auditor can hold.

Receipts, workbooks and statutory forms, on the original pages, readable without an account.
